Exposure Demonstrations

Exposure is flexible because it uses a variety of clients, from a simple map display within a web page to full featured integrated information system. All of the Exposure clients are able to be used within standard Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers using simple HTML, Javascript or Java. Many successful systems using Exposure may use a variety of clients, depending on the use. Below are a few examples but the possibilities are endless. Click on the maps on the left for a full description of the demo.

Full Featured Map Demo Exposure Image and Spatial Server Demo
See Exposure Image and Spatial Server in action. Vector and raster data combined to provide an easily recognisable map.

The data from this site resides in Oracle Spatial, imagery in ECW files.

This demo will open up in a new window.

Overlay Map Demo Overlay Map (Internet Explorer only)
The images you see are live extracts using the Exposure Image Server. The demo shows some of the powerful capabilities of Exposure by displaying an aerial photograph with a Mapsheet as a transparent overlay. The transparency can be adjusted according to how much you need to "see through" the Mapsheet to the aerial photo without loss of quality.

Dynamic Map and Aerial Imagery Demo Dynamic Maps and Aerial Imagery (Internet Explorer only)
This system displays aerial photography for use within an Intranet environment or over the Internet. There is a higher level of functionality available in this system, such as dynamic zoom and pan. The intuitive interface ensures that the end user will be able to maneuver around the map with no special training.

Dynamic Map and Aerial Imagery Demo Dynamic Maps and Map Sheets (Internet Explorer only)
This site demonstrates Exposure Image Server with different scanned Mapsheets and imagery. The initial image is a 1:500 000 tourist map. Upon zooming in, the map will change to use the 1:250 000 Mapsheets. Zooming in closer makes use of the 1:25 000 Mapsheets. The cutover scales are set on the server, so client will always see the optimum imagery at all scales. These are used mainly as a backdrop for displaying overlaid vector data.

Inline Map Demo In-line Map
Displays a map within an HTML report. The example shows mining lease details along with the map of the particular lease. This functionality is great for needing to report on exact information from the database with a map to be included in a document.

Complete Map Demo Complete Map Example (Dynamic Viewer)
Displays a demonstration of Exposure using the Dynamic map viewer and more complex data components. The map project showcases Exposure's strengths in road labelling, display of parcels, use of icons/symbols, and combines them all with background imagery.
