How to View a Video
Follow these steps to view the videos:

  1. Download the video by clicking on the 'Download' link in the Video list. Save the video to your hard drive.
  2. Extract the .avi video file using Winzip. You can download an evaluation copy of Winzip from here.
  3. The TechSmith Screen Capture Codec (TSCC) must be installed to play the movies. You can download the .exe file to install TSCC from here (170 KB download). For more information on TSCC see http://www.techsmith.com/products/camtasia/codec.asp.
  4. Open the .avi file in a video player. These videos can be viewed with Windows Media Player and RealNetworks RealPlayer, however they are best viewed with Camtasia Player, which can be download for free from here (127 KB download). For more information on how to use Camtasia Player see http://www.techsmith.com/products/camtasia/player.asp.

System Requirements
In order to view these videos, your system must meet these specifications:

  • Microsoft Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, 2000, XP or later version
  • Windows-compatible sound card and speakers (recommended)
  • The TechSmith Screen Capture Codec (TSCC) must be installed to play the movies.
  • The standard Windows MCI Motion Video Device (95/98/ME) or standard Windows Microsoft Video for Windows (NT/2000/XP). This is normally installed by default with Windows.
  • An AVI video player
